Inktober 2019 – Day 1 – Les Chats de Mew-Mew


It’s Inktober. Time to draw.

This is my first Inktober. I’ll be drawing pictures, comics, and characatures of the cats of Mew-Mew House at Second Guess Farm.

Mew-Mew House is the retirement home and hospice for cats at Second Guess. It’s currently occupied by 11 cats, which you’ll get to know as Inktober goes on.

Second Guess Farm and µ-µ House needs your help

I have been overwhelmed by the response and encouragement of friends and community members about creating a retirement home and hospice for cats.

There is clearly a need for such a place and I’m glad to be helping my community by simply satisfying my own need to be surrounded by cats.

To make this happen, I would like to solicit some help on two fronts:

  • I need assistance making Second Guess Farm Rescue-Retirement-Hospice into a proper 501(3)(c) organization.
  • I want to add the ability to take in ‘feral’ cats. Safe, long-term housing for cats that can’t be regular pets.

Keeping Track of the Family

There are a lot of cats in this house. Sometimes, it gets tricky to figure out who is who.

You’ll notice some faces on here that haven’t been mentioned before. That’s because the household is growing.

The Cast of Second Guess Farm: Comet and Scout – Feline-Friendly Hounds

Not only do we share our home with the cats, but we also have two goofy dogs to keep us entertained.

Comet (left) and Scout. Both are pure-bred huskies and they’re cousins

Though huskies are labeled as rambunctious and high-energy (and these two certainly are), Comet and Scout are completely gentle with our beloved seniors.
